By Noah Chidester and Abby Winans  The Young, the Bold, and The Murdered openedwith a big bang on April 4th and closed with an even bigger bang on April 5th 2014.  The production has a great director that is also one of the schools Health teacher.  This great person goes by Mrs. Christie Greathouse.

Mrs Greathouse states that overall she is impressed with how the kids did considering they had to cancel and reschedule a lot of the practices due to the weather. This years production had a lot of great senior leadership two of the many have been working with Mrs. Greathouse the past four years. Those lucky two were Lydia Walters and Maria Patrella. The drama department had a lot of new students step up this year and are looking forward to production next year. The department even wants to be doing two.

A face among the school that everyone seems to know and love is very involved in the Drama department and that face is sophomore Noah Collie. Noah states that this years play was about the cast of a soap opera, who try and film a show but are killed off one by one.  The hardest part for Noah this year was memorizing all of his lines.  Then he claims the easiest was finding what he needed to wear for his costume.  When I asked what he was going to miss the most he said, “I am going to miss all the long practices and the dress rehearsals.”  He also claimed that he is looking forward to helping pick out the olay and helping Mrs. Greathouse with new actors.

The are also many memories that come along with acting. Whether or not they are good, bad, funny, traumatizing, humiliating, they are all to be remembered.  I asked Noah what his best memory was and he said, “My 8th grade year when I had to say “You have the right to remain sexy!”” He then went on to say that his worst memory was that his freshman year he got a throat infection the night before the play.

Mrs. Greathouse wanted to let everyone know that if you want to be a part of the production next year they will be having try-outs when school starts again. They will be held in late August or early September.

The 2013-2014 school year was full of activities for our students!
